Hi! Yeah, we’ve got cell phones: Blackberry, LG, Nokia, iPhone, whatever! Today, I want to tell you about an awesome website where you can get *free* ringtones for your phone!
Ringtones are used when your phone rings (of course – duh!); they can also be used to notify you when you get a text message, for your daily alarm, for reminders, etc. And you can set a custom ringtone for specific people in your address book so you know who’s calling you without looking at your phone.
I suggest you sign up with your email address. It’s free and I’ve never had a problem with them so do it! You tell them what carrier you’re using and, using a text message, they figure out the phone you have! Then you can jump into the ringtone business.
There are tons of free tones, ranging from rock & roll to humorous sound effects. I’ve gotten reggae and blues, animal sounds, hip hop, blah blah blah. Did I mention it’s free?
Once you’re in the ringtone section, you can search by artist, song, or genre. You can listen to the tone and customize it…just click the easy-to-use buttons.
You can also upload an mp3 file, edit it, and send it to your phone, giving you the exact portion of the song you want.
I’ve downloaded ringtones and forwarded them to friends in email or mms. The quality is excellent and the choices are dizzying! Note: there are some tones that cost money but you don’t have to buy anything to use the service.
So what’s your current tone? My phone is marley’s one love and my daily alarm tone is george benson’s gimme the night. For the past six month’s my phone tone was jimmy cliff’s the harder they come. Yah, mon!
