Hi! One of the easiest and least expensive ways to ‘upgrade’ your pc is to add memory.
I know that for many people, opening the box and adding memory is a daunting prospect. Trust me, you can do it. And if it’s really too much, I’m sure you know a dweeby person (someone like me) who would be happy to do it for you. Even if adding memory scares you, read on please!
This morning, I installed 2GB of additional memory in a 3 year old pentium 4 PC and the user can really feel the difference…she told me she had no issues today at all with her computer! The 2Gigs cost about $84 delivered.
I use Crucial to get my memory for PCs. I’ve been using them for years and have been very satisfied.
When you go the the Crucial website, they have a very cool ‘scanner tool’ that you can permit to scan your system (don’t worry…it won’t do anything unless you allow it to). Once you allow the app to do so, it will scan your PC, give you a report on your current memory, and recommend compatible memory options based on your system’s current and maximum memory configuration.
The site features excellent help and how-to guides (for deciding and installing) and a toll free number in case you need real-time hand holding. There are installation videos, illustrated instructions, and live agents you can chat with.
Check out the Crucial website by clicking here and let me know if you think it’s as cool as I do!
