For those of you who use Outlook to manage your calendar and tasks, this is a very cool hint!
The ions for the calendar and tasks are at the lower left of the Outlook window. When you click the icons, the associated function opens. Click the calendar icon and you can see your appointments in the view that’s been selected, for example. (You can also use the Outlook menus, of course, but the magic for this tip is in the icons!).
You can drag a mail message onto the calendar, task, or notes icons and a new item will open, ready for you to add the details for the event. The mail message you dragged to the icon will be included in the event details automatically. That means that the information you need for the appointment, task, or note is there for you when you need it, info such as the agenda, directions, reminders, etc.
It’s all about drag and drop…drag an email to an icon right now to see how it works!
