Hi! There are many online digital photo sites — I want to tell you about Photoshop.com! Yes, the tool of choice for professional photographers and creatives now has a website where you can organize, edit, print, share, and publish your photos. And it’s free to join and use!
Just go to Photoshop.com and sign up. It’s really easy to get around and they’ve done a fantastic job with the look & feel and the help function. You can upload your photos, label them for easy cataloging and retrieval, edit them, and send them to your friends and family. There are links directly to Facebook and Picasa, for example, and you also publish directly to your blog, if that’s your thing.
While it’s definitely not a substitute for Photoshop CS4, the editing engine on photoshop.com is very cool. You can crop and resize, adjust the color or make it b&w, take care of red eye and blemishes, and apply special effects. You can also add decorations like graphics and cartoon bubbles, and save everything in your online library. And getting back to your original photo is always a click away!
Yep, you can save the edited pics to your desktop and print ’em locally or you can order prints from Shutterfly. And there’s a mobile function that let’s you upload pics from your camera phone.
If you’re not sure you want to sign up, you can click the ‘test drive’ button and check it out. I think you’ll be impressed!
There’s a lot more there than I’ve covered here; I trust I’ve piqued your interest enough to take a look, at least, or sign up and take advantage of this very cool site!
